Question 1

What are the grade bands in United Kingdom?

Accepted Answer

The UK honours degree classification maps each grade label to a range of marks and a number of grade points. The reference table lists every band with its percentage range and points.

Question 2

How does United Kingdom round a final grade?

Accepted Answer

The weighted average is rounded to two decimal places before the band is applied; borderline rules may lift a mark within 2% of a boundary.

Question 3

Where can I check United Kingdom's official grading scale?

Accepted Answer

The reference table links to the official source we verified the scale against. Always confirm against your own institution's current regulations.

Question 4

Does United Kingdom use the same scale everywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. National frameworks set a common scale, but individual institutions may vary the pass mark or the points awarded. The notes on each scale record the known variations.
