This is arithmetic only. The IB award conditions must also be met; a total of 24 points alone does not guarantee a diploma.
Published IB diploma award conditions
- At least 24 total points are required.
- All six subjects, TOK and the Extended Essay must have grades awarded; CAS requirements must be completed.
- No subject grade may be 1, no more than two subject grades may be 2, and no more than three subject grades may be 3 or below.
- At least 12 points are required across Higher Level subjects and at least 9 across Standard Level subjects (with a special minimum for candidates taking only two SL subjects).
- A grade E in TOK or the Extended Essay is a failing condition.

Interpretation and limitations
Six subject grades and core points contribute to the diploma total, subject to award conditions. A worked concordance example: an ACT composite of 28 maps to an SAT total midpoint of 1,310 in the 2018 concordance. This compares relative standing; it does not predict an individual's SAT result. AP, GCSE and A-level cutoffs vary by subject and exam series. WAEC and NECO admissions requirements vary by institution, so the editable credit checker does not state an official admissions rule.
